Big-box DIY kits use thin water-based epoxy that's the consistency of paint. It bonds poorly because there's no proper surface prep step, and most peel within 2-3 years — especially under hot tires. Our system uses professional-grade coatings applied over a properly-prepared surface, with manufacturer-grade flake broadcast. Result: a coating that's much thicker, mechanically bonded, and warrantied for life.
Cure times vary by coating system and conditions. We'll give you exact timing in your written quote. Most installs allow vehicle traffic within 24-72 hours of completion.
Yes — almost always. We fill every crack with a polymer that's stronger than the surrounding concrete. Major structural issues (wide settlement cracks, sinking slabs) are a separate concrete repair conversation, but ordinary thermal cracks and small spider cracks are routine.
We strongly recommend whole-garage coatings. Doing only part of the floor leaves a visible coating-edge that catches dirt and looks unfinished. If budget is a concern, we'd rather coat the whole 2-car garage and skip the storage room than half-coat a 3-car.
